Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground:
for it is time to seek the LORD, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.
(Hosea 10:12)
Breaking
up the fallow ground in this powerful prophetic Scripture of Hosea 12:10 speaks of heart repentance, but this repentance
begins with us! WHEN WE TURN TO GOD IN FAITH AND RIGHTEOUSNESS, in doing what is right, with an uncompromising
spirit, which consists of wholly obeying the Word of God in full obedience, regardless of whose feelings get hurt. It
it is then that we will see our prayers answered. It is then we will see our loved-ones, and those around us turning
to God in true humility and heart hunger in repentance to a HOLY GOD. IT IS THEN THAT EVERY ONE ELSE WE KNOW WILL COME UNDER
CONVICTION, AND THEY ALSO WILL REPENT, turning to the Lord, and will do what is RIGHT in obeying His Word. NO ONE
can obey the high and powerful Word of God without true heart-felt conviction, and repentance.
When we turn fully to God in repentance, we set the standard of heaven.
The standard of heaven is the true life of the Kingdom of holiness and godliness which can be seen where we live, so that
those who are living in the same house with us, and on the same job with us, and in the same Church with us, and those who
live around us will repent. THE LORD IS WATCHING IT ALL. Remember, the fallow ground is our heart, a heart that has
become hardened with unbelief and compromise. YES! We all have compromised the Gospel of Jesus Christ, because of
what we want, and because we want to help others we love, but we also want to PLEASE THEM!
This is where we compromise the truth of the Word of God that eventually will
be to our own hurt if we do not turn to the Lord NOW in repentance, by changing our relationship of compromise out of fear,
of being rejected by a compromising people. We MUST CHANGE these compromising relationships by taking a stand of righteousness
in order for things to change and be made right according to heaven's high standard, or they JUST WON'T CHANGE regardless
of how much we call ourselves praying about the situation that is not right. We are deceived if we have not paid a price
in doing what is right to make things right, beginning with much prayer in conviction as to what the Lord wants us to do to
make things right!
True
Repentance
A lot of people have accepted
Christ, and have been baptized in the Holy Spirit for many, many years, but they have not experienced true repentance, even
ministers of the Gospel who we know are not doing right. The evidence of true repentance is "righteousness;"
doing what is right in obedience to the Word of God. This righteousness of Christ consists of having a spirit of "the
conviction of righteousness." It means that we are taking a stand and doing what is right in obedience to God's
Word out of the conviction of the Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of truth, even to our own hurt. I John 5:17a, says, "All
unrighteousness is sin."
So that
means yes, if you are compromising the truth of the Word because you care about somebody more than obeying God, you are sinning,
and have opened a door to Satan in your life, even to strike you with sickness, disease, or closed doors. This truth
regarding not compromising the Word of God includes your pastor, family, children, if you are in ministry those with you in
ministry, and everyone else who is compromising by not walking in the truth of the Word of God.
